on my way back to this blog, I’m going to play around with this premise, see if it gets my motor running: listening to a song on repeat through the entire process of improvising a work- painting the color, adding a few doodles, photoshopping the results, letting the mood of the song color the entire experience. this is Lover of Mine by Beach House (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxRj2i9Ta24) also I’m down for suggestions. I made this shortly after LSU beat Duke in the 2006 NCAA tournament. My sophomore year roommates and I all had trouble getting along, but this game completely thrilled and united us. Tyrus Thomas was an absolute monster- lots of rebounds, huge blocks, and several emphatic dunks. So I painted this to celebrate him. That’s JJ Redick crying in the corner.

to celebrate the back-to-back-to-back holidays of Lincoln’s 200th birthday, Friday the 13th, and Valentine’s Day, I made this card. in other news, First Zuleyka Show Tonight! 10 pm Gotham City. We’ve had an absolutely ridiculous amount of fun working together and we’ve very excited to unleash this thing on the world. BE THERE
